EMPLOYER SPONSORED VISA
Secure your Australian Visa via these Employer Sponsored Pathways
407, 482, 494, 186 & 191 visas
Australia is currently experiencing a shortage of skilled workers, across a range of occupations and around the country. If you have skills and experience in demand, you may be eligible to be sponsored or nominated by a business operating in Australia for a temporary or permanent visa.
Our experience sets us apart in terms of navigating the way forward for you and your employer. Find out how below!
Sponsorship Options

TRAINING Visa - 407
For those who have not yet accumulated sufficient employment to be nominated for an employer sponsored work visa, the Training visa may provide the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. With several streams, the occupational training to improve skills in a listed occupation, may be relevant to such candidates.
Applicants must have recent 12 months’ experience (study or work) in the nominated occupation and the employer must have a suitable training programme available.

Temporary SKILLS SHORTAGE Visa - 482
For this visa, applicants must meet the skill threshold for the nominated occupation. This may include having a relevant qualification or a certain number of years’ experience. Visa applicants must also have at least two years’ full time equivalent experience relevant to the nominated occupation. Some applicants will need to obtain a formal skills assessment before applying for the visa. And applicants must prove English language ability either through nationality, education or test.
The subclass 482 visa is available for up to four years, depending on the occupation. Occupations on the STSOL (Short Term Skilled Occupations List) allow visa grant for two years at a time. Applicants with occupations on the MLTSSL (Medium and Long Term Skills Shortage List) may obtain a visa for up to four years. 482 visa holders may have a pathway to permanent residence through the Employer Nomination Scheme.

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa - 494
Employers based in regional Australia may nominate workers to fill positions aligned with occupations on the relevant occupation lists.
Applicants must have at least three years’ full time equivalent experience in the nominated occupation and will need a formal skills assessment before applying for the visa. Applicants must prove English language ability either through nationality, education or test.
The subclass 494 visa is a five-year visa with a pathway to permanent residence available after working in the nominated position for three years.

EMPLOYER NOMINATION VISA - 186
The Employer Nomination visa is a permanent residence visa, accessed via one of two pathways: Direct Entry or Transitional.
Direct Entry is available where the nominated person obtains a favourable skills assessment in the nominated occupation and has a minimum of three years’ full-time equivalent employment at the skill level in the occupation.
For those holding the subclass 482 visa, the Transitional pathway is available. Visa holders will usually have to complete three years’ employment on the 482 visa in order to ‘transition’ to permanent residence through the Employer Nomination scheme.
Visa applicants must have an Australian employer to nominate them.

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) VISA - 191
This visa allows people who have lived and worked in designated regional areas of Australia on an eligible visa (494 or 491), the subclass 191 visa offers permanent residence. Key features include:
- You do not need a sponsor or nominator
- You must hold an eligible visa and have complied with the conditions of that visa
- You must have lived for at least 3 years in a designated regional area
- You must have had a taxable income at or above a specific income threshold for at least 3 years while holding your eligible visa

Our Happy Clients
Sarah has been the most helpful and informative migration agent I have spoken to, she has recommended that I hold off on making any decisions until later in the year, when there is likely to be an update to state sponsorship opportunities. Still holding hope!
